Enid Blyton is still the most popular children’s author in the world and is described as ‘The Queen of Story Tellers’. Her ability to identify with the children she created and for whom she was writing helped her to produce some of the best-loved and most eagerly collected children’s books of all time.

The most prolific children’s writer in the world, Enid Blyton wrote over 700 books. Many of these have been translated (into languages as diverse as Indonesian and Finnish), so that she is by far the most translated children’s author, as well as the third most translated female author.
