November’s that strange in-between month when the air starts to hum with sunscreen, braai smoke, and possibility. The light lingers. Time speeds up and slows at the same time. Everyone pretends to still be working.
It’s also a good time for readers to start building their holiday bookstacks: the towers of stories that’ll carry us through long afternoons, road trips, and the soft, melty edges of December.
If there’s a book you’ve been hunting for (the one haunting your wishlist or that a friend swore you had to read), please tell us. If we're lucky, we might just be able to track it down for you before the year wraps up.
And while you’re at it, this is the perfect time to trade in a few books for store credit. You know the ones...those novels you swore you’d re-read but haven’t touched since 2021, or the crime series taking up half a shelf. Give them a second life, make space for new discoveries, and earn credit for your next adventure.
It’s one more month, friends. One more month of counting down, holding on, and surviving meetings that could’ve been emails.
So stack your stories high and dream irresponsibly.
Have a fantastic week!
PS: I know it feels early, but trust me, once Boney M hits the shops, it’s too late for calm, rational book decisions.
